Raymond Bello is a final year student of Geography Education from Kogi State. He loves entertainment & politics. His political personality was influenced when he met a group of political Juggernaut from the department of Political Science who latter became his friends & club members. He started as DOS in his department but latter became DOS in the Faculty of Education and now the President NSUK Club105. He is widely known as Dude of Swagg, a name coined by his friends during his election campaign and it is another acronym for Director of Socials. In his quest to provide quality entertainment to NSUKITES, he has successfully organized holiday trips to Yankari Game Reserve, Ogbudu Cattle Ranch, The Wada Mystic Hills and this season he is set to bring the ChocolateCity crew life to NSUK. In this interview with Faris, he tells us how is intend to do it except. I think you need not border yourself about introductions, you are a household name in NSUK social circle. **(grin) Are you sure of what you are saying? Ah, you are on your own oh. Am just there, make friends with as much as I can, organize shows with the help of other club officials and members. Its not a one man thing (shrug). Ok. But as club president, you are known more than the regular guy in NSUK. **If you say so.

So viewing your social status, I'll like to ask you a question. Are you in a relationship. If you are would you mind saying who? ** I know your target and I'll get you there ( laughing ). Yes I am in a relationship. Its a personal affair and am not going to make it public yet. We all have to wait for when its grown and we are set to walk down the isle. Y'all goning know. How many relationship have you had since coming to NSUK? **Just one. what do you think about NSUK chicks? **They are the bomb and the best you can see anywere in the world. We've got the good, bad and ugly. We all have fantacies of the kind of persons we want to date. Have you seen any of such dream since coming to NSUK? **Yes I have and right now she is my girlfriend. Is there any one else you are tripping for and wish to get into a relationship with? **Yes. Does the person know you are tripping? **No she don't because we've not met one on one yet at least for now but am going to tell her whenever I see her. You want to know who right? She is JACKIE APPIAH (winks). You just said you are looking forward to walking down the isle with you girlfriend. What's up with the Appiah thing? **Ok wait. Tripping for her don't necessarily means we are getting married. At least not just like that.

But it can't be ruled out completely right? **I want you to understand that we know today but tomorrow is God's. Yes it can't be ruled out cos am not God. Take note- I love my girl. Have you ever been heart broken before? **Faris that's a very personal question. But lemme see if I can say a thing about that. Honestly I've not experienced that before. I don't think I have cos if I was I would have remembered. Have you broken someone's heart in NSUK? **How would I know? I can't know cos it will mean I did it intentionally. But aside that, I dont think I broke anyone's heart. Omotola, Beyonce and J’Blige are some celebrities relationship that sound to be role model. What do you think about their families? **I admire Jay Z and Beyonce alot they have a healthy relationship and their marriage is soaring high especially with the arrival of Blue Ivy. Back here in Nigeria the best I would score Omotola high. Nigerian women can be funny though but there are women with great integrity. Omotola is cool and uphold her marriage and family with all care. You are into entertainment. What is your aspiration after school? **To own an event managing outfit and making it a house hold name in the country. What do you do to take care of your skin? **Nothing special. I use any mild moisturizing cream that wouldn't alter my complexion. I hate that cos it means I don't appreciate what God has done by creating you like you are. Aside the moisturizer, I apply descent hair cream, soap, Cologne etc. Who do you think is the most beautiful chick in NSUK? **My girlfriend. What are the challenges you are facing as president of club105? **Believe me when I say holding leadership position isn't easy. Here you deal with all manner of people and as a leader you must put up with them. As a faculty DOS and President of NSUK club105, what would you like to see change in NSUK red carpet events like beauty pageant,fashion and talk shows, awards etc. **As a DOS & President of club 105, am going to take NSUK to the next level to meet up with other universities across the country where we see major event like MTN or Glo campus blast shows. Imagine the Mo-Hits crew in NSUK. Most members of the club will be graduating with you. What are your plans for new membership? We are not after gathering crowd in the name of membership. But right now registration is on. We are not segregating, but tryna get members that are ready to entertain the NSUK community. Its a pleasure talking with you. **My pleasure.

I am very proud to be associated with the successes recorded by the Nasarawa State University, Keffi in terms of quality and standard of education being offered by the institution. The state university has grown into a national institution within a decade of its establishment with students and lecturers coming from all parts of the country. I recall that in 1998, I made a special appeal for the establishment of a university in Nasarawa State. When I was eventually appointed Commissioner for Information in 1999 by my former boss, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, I raised a memo calling for the establishment of a state university. Despite criticisms from different quarters, the State Government went ahead and established the university. Little did we know that we established a national institution that would offer platform for university education for people within and even outside the country. The university is now offering courses up to PhD level in various fields of study to students from different parts of the country. Let me therefore implore the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shamsudeen Amali and the management to main and even surpass the standard for excellence set by the pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adamu Baikie. By so doing, we will continue to have graduates who are imbued with quality and functional education, values and discipline that can propel the development of our country.

Here the NSUK graduate of History talk to us about his aspiration to spin the dance industry around and say he can bet to win over KAFFY.

you have been around for some years now. Whats your most memorable moment here? **well....the most memorable moment I've experienced down here is the campus icon event,which was held last year..that event is unforgettable. It is one of those moments you wish last forever. The audience & crowd outside is awesome. Its an amazing & terrific atmosphere our there with a bunch of beautiful people around to cheer me up. what is your favorite event. **ummm...my favorite event..lets see..okay,i love every event in the school & all the social clubs have been doing so well all the way..shout out to CLUB 105,NO TIME,PLAYAZ CLUB,DA BOOM,1 ON 1 & the rest.

Are you in a relationship? **Smile. Yes I am. Hope you Wouldn't mind saying who she is? ** she's an Angel. How many relationship have you had since coming to NSUK? **just one, yes one. What do you think about NSUK chicks. **NSUK chicks are the most beautiful girls in the world. (Laughing) they are lovely, classy,outstanding,fun to be with & the best to roll with. we all have fantasy of the kind of persons we want to date. have you seen any of such dream since coming to NSUK. If yes, have met such person. **yeah, that's so true. uhh...yeah I've met one.

Is there any one else you are tripping for and wish to get into a relationship with. If yes does the person know you are tripping? **(laughing).that's one funny thing about guys. yeah of course am tripping for one of them & I bet she knows am tripping. Laughing

Have you been heartbroken before? ** NO! I have never been heartbroken & i dont wanna feel it. Have you broken someones heart in NSUK? **Laughing. no,no,no,no. Lets say you are not in a relationship, would you get involve with a celebrity, say some one like Rihana, Katy Perry, waje, Omawummi or any one. **Sure,i will. This celebrities you mentioned are all super divas..they are beautiful and umm...i could match with one (laughing) Aside the fact that celebrities are sort of on the wild side, what will you say if one who is real and prove so ask you to marry her. **well all know 'em exposed to the world..alot of events,paparazzi,nasty photo shots & some weird things,u know. I can close my eyes & do it..if i really want her.

You are into music & dance. What's your aspiration after school? **I dance,I dance & I dance. Well,after school, Am goon professionalize my dancing skills & establish some dance team for the young aspiring dancers to make their dreams come true. What do you think about KAFFY? she is known world wide as an icon? **She cool and i admire her alot. shes been repin Naija all the way. can you stand her when it comes to dance? **I don't want to say a thing to make her feel bad but when we get there we'll know wasup (winks) You look good. What do to take care of your skin? **5-woa...i do nothing to it..i wash myself 3times daily & umm. I dont apply anything on it. Just being Natural. What are your favorite beauty products? **don't have any. Who do you think is the most beautiful girl in NSUK? **Oboy this is trouble. NSUK girls are all beautiful. I love them all. Where is your favorite shopping spot? **I really don't have a shopping spot,but i love good things, I get them & I put them On.

What would you like to see changed in NSUK red carpet events like beauty pageant, fashion & talk shows? **So far,the shows have been running okay & the events managers have been trying to make it up to our standards & thats good of them"more grease to your elbows"..but uhh..we all have to take it to another level. we the students & the social committee. NIGERIA FASHION WEEK 2012 GOING GREEN AGAIN

It’s that time of the year again when lovers of beauty and fashion roll out their eyes in search for thrills and creativity to satiate their aesthetic cravings. All over the world it is happening and Nigeria is definitely taking up centre stage with numerous shows coming up. The Nigeria Fashion Week 2012 is here and Designers from all over the world are set to garb stunning African models in their own of kind threads and stitches. The models are also set to run the way more than we have ever seen as models of Nigerian descent around the world are flying in to graze this event.

The Nigeria Fashion Week has continuously provided the platform for Nigerian designers to rediscover themselves and make success of their creative talents. The Fashion week has been able to re-orient Nigerian designers to look only inward for inspiration by using locally made fabrics and accessories and come up with a range that has global appeal. It is opening Africa's biggest fashion, hair and beauty market to international designers and luxury brands wishing to gain the Nigerian very large market.

Those expected to participate includes Fashion designers, Textile, Garment & leather products manufacturers, Makers of wedding garments and accessories like cakes etc, Producers of lingerie/under wears, Jewelleries, wrist watches, shoes, bags, hats, Manufacturers of cosmetics, make-up, hair and skin care products, Producers of Zips, buttons, threads, tape rule, Manufacturers of various industrial sewing, embroidery, pressing and cutting machines.

Nigeria Fashion Week has always featured bold colors, but this year, just like last year the focus is on one color in particular -- green. The 2011 event with the theme ‘going green’ presented 42 designers and 39 exhibitors from 22 countries. It attracted both national and international media. The highpoint of the week was the ‘going green collection’ where most of the participating designers presented special garments made from recycled materials. It was to draw awareness to climate change issues. For the second time in a roll, Nigeria Fashion Week will showcase collection specifically to create awareness of environmental issues. The president of Nigeria Fashion Week Lexy Mojo-Eyes, said "The whole world is going green and that means the whole world is thinking about sustaining our environment. We thought this is our little contribution. The idea of Nigeria Fashion Week 'Going Green' means asking designers, to use recycled fashion accessories to be able to make collections that will help us project the idea of going green, to help in bringing awareness to people in Nigeria about the importance of a sustainable environment."

In a press release, the organizers points out that following the success of last year’s theme, this year’s event is still tagged ‘going green 2’ in continuation of what was started last season and promises to create a bigger platform for eco-fashion -or sustainable fashion as it is also called. More participants and international media are expected as well as buyers from Milan, New York, Australia and Asia. Nigeria Fashion Week 2012 ‘going green 2’will be declared open by the President of the World Fashion Organization, Paco De Jaimes.

What is your most memorable moment in NSUK?The very first day I start as a student Sometime back, a nude pix of an NSUKITE was leaked on facebook and it was said to be posted by you or rather traced to your id. What is your comment on that? The nude pic wasn’t supposed to be out to the public, I was a little fault from myself but some rumor went round that I did it purposely which wasn't so. I am so glad that the storm is all over and me and the guy in person still communicate. So you saw the pix?Yes I saw d pix you definitely recognized the dude? Yes I did. What is your relationship with him? Yes were dating as at then. When the pix was leaked, some said it wasn’t your fault. How true is that? It is true that it wasn't my fault n thank God that most people understand with me. The gist is that he earlier posted some of your pix on facebook too. Did you see the pix in question? No comment. When all fingers were pointing at you, what did you do to clear yourself of the allegation? I didn't do anything, I just prayer that it should be over. Is it true that your parents hear the gist? No my parents didn't hear what happened, I tried to hide it from them as much as I can, cos it was shamefully. What is your relationship with the guy since the incidence occurred? We are still friends till date. Were you threatened by anyone or group in the course of the events? Yes I was threatened but thank God that it didn't come to past and I tried to restrict my movement in school till date You remained mostly indoors and never kept late hours. What inform your mood then? I got info about the threat so I mind my business and stayed in my house. Your friends (M,L,M) were pointed to be part of the conspiracy. How true is that? No they are innocent and am glad they stood by me through out that period. Your clique is cool and when people see beautiful chicks this close, they start speculating crazy things they do behind close doors. Have you heard any such gossip about you guys? I didn't hear anything, we enjoy each other company and share problem within each other Life is about choice, will you change your mind on that? Yes it is, that's y we should make the right choices. Your car is beautiful. What do you call her? Thanks but she got no name, she serves me well and I take care of her needs(fuel n maintenance). You are too fine and we can’t pretend that guys around don’t see that unless you want us to believe the theory that when a chick is too fine, guys are scared of coming around her. So the question is ‘are you in a relationship’? Yes I am in a relationship and he makes me so happy When you publicly name someone as your boy-friend, it signifies three things. First is that you are proud of him and have confidence in his loyalty. Secondly, it means you are only dating that person and lastly you could be keeping other guys off. If you don’t, it means the opposite. So which one is it? lol........hmm, I love him no doubt and that's all that matters to me. Marriage is a union btw a man and a woman, u r not only marrying him or her but u r also getting married to the family, so family values r important. What is the first thing in your mind when a guy says he likes you? Sex... Most guys are after sex. Beauty is said to be consuming and not all that glitter is gold. How much of you is gold? Every bit of me is gold because I am wonderfully made and God has been faithful to me. How true is it that when you came to NSUK you were humble and reserve i.e. you are kind of wild now? People just judge me from afar are sometimes things they say about me is nasty but I don't let it trouble me anymore. Should we say people are kind of in their shell the first time they come to a place like this? Most people are but as for me I am not, I was trying to observe my environment. Can you toast a guy if he has exactly what you dream of in a man? No I can't, I can only get attach to him so he that he could like me and ask me out himself instead of d other way round.
